A friend took me way out in the middle of no where to show me a car - he thought it was a 34 ford ( he's not a car guy ) - It is not a ford and I am guessin late 20's but That where the guesses run out ? The body is similar in width to a 26-27 T just not as tall - it has sucide doors .. no markings at all Anyone know what this is ? [IMG]

  2. Go get it....maybe Essex? Chevrolet? Dodge? There's so many that all look similar back then.

Make the effort to get it out.

Mastergun, it looks like you found an Essex, probably around a 1928. I have the cowl section of one in my yard and its the same as in your picture. Mitch.

I am planning on getting it, just gotta round up some help. It is real straight, a couple small rust outs. I don't need another project but maybe someone does.

Paralell leaf springs, all metal doors, indent in the firewall, probably for a six, no visible wood, looks like an early dodge.

    Incredible.

I have never seen a car in a remote location without bullet holes in it. Wow.

The Essex frame has a nice kickup in the rear, many were used to build dirt track race cars, what we call Sprint Cars today. Bob

I know most of us don't need additional projects, but as I tell my wife. some things need to be saved. That is why I am knee in my project.

Looks like a 1927 chevrolet. The 2 holes be the "A" pillar look to be mounting holes for the running lights. Here is my 27. But its just a guess.

Great find. Looks like it is in really good shape. I can see that making a really nice hot rod. Good luck getting it out.

I wonder what is the guy with the small stick trying to achieve? Something already claimed ownership???
