Don't know about you guys but I've had enough. I'm thankful that God gave us a
break at some car shows or I'd be selling everything and buying a boat. Jeff Myers
worked his *** off getting my skirts ready for the SK500 and we ended up having
plenty of time.. Thanks Jeff for your help and to Dustin HvyChvy for shooting the
    black primer.

This is the direction that i've decided to do to the skirts. We have some tweaking
yet to do but it will have to wait until this winter. I plan on driving the wheels off
    of it for now.

It has rained almost everyday since Dewey so I hadn't had the chance to drive it
and get some pics. The only one that I have is one, sorry for the krappy picture
but TwoTall Okie took it. LOL!!!

Hey at least you got a top! That car found a good home when you rescued it Mick. Just keeps getting better looking. Hate it that we missed the show this year.

I'm going to have to back down the kool meter and end up putting wipers on the Merc.
They are ready to go just need to add wiper blades. I must be getting old.,

I have a top, yet another blessing to add to the list. You were missed

Ouch! I screwed up all of those years, I should have told them it was a 280Z instead of a Merc. Guys would have come closer to believe that story.

It's been raining here for the last couple days and definitely has me itching to drive some.

Last Thursday it was nice enough for a drive and since My wife wanted Maternity pics while she is 7 Months pregnant I slipped the '52 in a few!

Kool idea, may have to do that....

    TURN IT OFF!!!

I usually drive it to work and it just isn't worth fighting the rain. If it was a Car show
then that is a different story. I'll slap the Rainx on and I'll be there. Its been two
weeks since I've been on the road...

I've been checking out your post on the improvements and love what I'm seeing. I bought
some '57 Lincoln hubcaps last year and the plan was to cut the centers of them out to
use on my '57 Buick caps. I just can't do it, they are just in to good of shape to do cut
up. So I understand your pain triming the back of the cap. Keep up the good work guys
    are diggin it!

    Happy Trails,

Ha!!! I was thinking originally of cutting the centers out and mounting them to Cadillac Sombreros so I can have best of both worlds. I still have Two Caps left so anything is possible!! Funny, because I thought that I was crazy for thinking that!

Again thanks man, I am so green when it comes to customs. I am just trying not to **** the car up haha!!! You Merc guys definitely give me a lot of inspiration. Your car is awesome!

  23. Hey Mick, the Merc just gets betterer and betterer. I finally got the radiator back in the truck and the thermostat functioning the way it should. Missed being in Dewey!!
The rain is getting OLD, isn't it?
Somehow a****st all the other BS going on with the weather and all, I have managed to get pneumonia(sp) but have about got it whipped now.
Travis might get that photo thing down one of these days if he keeps practicing.

  29. The 1st 55 Chevy I built(back in 1960) I used 57 buick hubcaps with 3" bullits in the centers. I thought it looked cool Mick. Your mention of 57 Buick caps reminded me of that.

By the way, it was a 4-door.

I have four of them and all I need is two so eventually two of the centers will be removed.
I love the centers of a '57 Lincoln cap they have great potential. I don't know if I thanked
ya for the ride in your Merc. Wow is she kool, your Merc looks like a Trosley drawing that
became reality....That is a kool visual!

This is what I'm running right now, How do you like Dustin's Little girl mud style pinstripes
on the side of the Merc. Look out out guys, its in her and is got to come out.
