today I traded a nice ready to run stout 454 for four crusty 303's and three equally old and crusty transmissions..

I now have an even dozen early Olds motors...
(most of them are just this crusty)

like I will ever use them all..
I suppose I could go racing, I'd have plenty of spares

Line them all up in your front yard like little soldiers. I hear neighbors love that.

each one has a little history I'm sure

one has some butchered and broken Hurst motor mounts, later distributor and a stick flywheel
another has an add on top end oiler
and most of the block colors do not match their head colors
all have #3 heads except one that has a mismatched pair of #2 heads

the transmissions are a flat pan hydro, a Cad Lasalle and the piece de resistance; a 1950 Olds stick!

  6. Nice score Paul! That'll keep ya busy for a while. It's always a good day when ya bring greasy stuff home! Can't wait for the Jalopy Showdown.

Since I only own one of them I don't consider myself a real Rocketeer. I kinda like the idea of going fast though <center>

You could do them up a little bit (refurbish them a tiny bit) then you could make some sweet ass tables and furniture. Or you could make artsy fartsy stuff with them. I don't know...
