The 55 Club Sedan looks fantastic!

 

Clean ride but I wonder if some one just put a Club Sedan emblem on the quarter panel of a Mainline. The Club Sedan was only associated with the Fairlane model trim. Of course, that was the swooping side trim we think of for '55 Fords, but also belt line trim that continued on the top of the quarters to the tip of the back up light. I think the rain gutters were edged in stainless too. And the rear glass stainless that runs along the "C" pillar had recessed areas (that were blacked out).

Yeah, trim could have been removed or changed out, but seems like a lot of work only to leave the emblems on the quarters.

 

My son saw this one sitting in town the other night.

 

I think you’re right…it is a Mainline.

 

Recently just rediscovered this thread. Love it! Not long ago I found a clean set of original 55 hubcaps and reworked the front bumper. Little by little it has come a long way from how it sat in my avatar photo.

 

My girl sold this 56 in 2022. Anyone seen it? It's in Lebanon, PA or surrounding area.

 

Did the wagons ever have stainless gutter trim or trim around the windows?
Also does anyone have a good photo of the sliding back window & latch arrangement?
