Customs Images of tri-five Ford's...

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by 1stGrumpy, Oct 30, 2020.

  1. Some local custom Fords - including an earlier picture of Ralph Weflan's sectioned '56 which 1stGrumpy posted in #3505. Ralph did everything including bodywork, paint & upholstery himself in his backyard (no garage!).:

That section job on that '56 is terrific! I've never seen one before.

I think the third one(?) coulda been a 1957. I know this thread about "tri-five" Fords was created after the similar Chevy one, but the Chevy 55-56-57 were off the same body, not the Ford 55-56 and the "new" 57. Maybe we need a new Plymouth tri-five where a 57 is grouped with the 55 and 56.

You need to go by the frames…. Chevrolet work’s out good with 55-56-57 as the 54 and 58 were totally different. Ford, if you need 3 years may be 54-55-56 but 57-58-59 is better as 60-up were totally different. 52-53-54 Fords are often linked.
To me FOMOCO and MOPAR link 55-56 better.
