I don’t think the would look good without some whether it be from another car or stock. There have been thousands of customs but I don’t remember any with no side trim… I’m guessing a drag or old ct car.

You're probably right, but I've never seen a 'naked' Crown Vic and thought it would be interesting to see what they look like and how they differ from the rest.

 

Absolutely perfect, imho the best looking stock Ford hardtop.

 

The Crown is more than just a Victoria with extra trim. There's a large B pillar behind that trim as well as additional bracing in the roof. The quarter windows/inner structure are unique to the car, and it used the heavy-duty 'X' braced convertible frame as well. If you wanted to convert a regular Vicky to Crown, the degree of difficulty is roughly the same as doing a 4dr to 2dr conversion.
