  1. Some of the cars I've been using as motivation on mine

I really like the front end on this one! Looks like it has '55/'56 Merc wagon tail lights frenched in. Got any other pictures of it?

  3. I actually believe it is the under construction version of Eunice Ibarra's car which was posted earlier in this thread. It now has Packard taillights

Wow do you know where this photo was from. It's a dead ringer for my first on the road car. It had looked like this one but then rear ended another car. Sat in the bushes behind his house for years. Stared at it everyday walking home for school. When I turned 15 I got up the nerve to ask if it was for sale. The owner was away at college so his parents said it may be awhile before they heard from him.

Several months later I got a call from his parents and he said to just get rid of it got it for the princely sum of $200.
so at 15 got a front clip from a junkyard and installed it and it was mine. LOL my mother had to drive it to DMV for inspection because I was still 15 and had not got my license yet.

It was the car I drove to take my drivers license test. Got talking to the inspector a few minutes into the driving part of the test and when I told him I did the repairs he said turn around if you rebuilt this thing you can drive LOL got my license after a two minute test.

  7. I got the picture off of Facebook, the guy that had posted it was Jules Bauduc. He noted that it was a picture of a car that he had owned "many years ago".

'57 Ford Customs have always been my favorite car.

In 1997, I bought one out of a farmer's field for $50. When that was something you could still do. Title and all!
It was actually a pretty decent car. Owned it and worked on it for about 5 years and like a young idiot, I sold it. It IS still in the Omaha area and not a whole lot different than when I sold it.

  10. Pretty wagon. I had a feeling that the second pic wasn't in Nebraska. Eastern Colorado approaching the Rockies? On your way to AFB?

I bought it in Modesto, CA and drove back to Nebraska. First photo in CA, second was on lonely Highway 50 in Nevada, third in Wendover, NV.

Needs to re-arch the springs....even back in the 50-60’s that was tacky. Flip them back and that baby would be on the deck...Not as popular as the 56 but I always liked the 55 Vic.

One of my favorites are the 56 Fairlane. But the Baby Birds (56)especially still turn my head. Still looking for a 54 Moonglow Clone or a super nice 56 Fairlane mild Custom. IMG_2346.JPG IMG_2378.JPG IMG_2462.JPG Any traders out there?
