Yours for $65K. Twice that in it. All Ford and I don’t have any info on it.

I have seen that before at a show/cruise in Westminster years ago and thought it was strange to see a ragtop with a scoop....
    it's still strange to me.

Yep, kinda strange to me too. I’m sure it’s a nice car, but a convertible should be a cruiser in my mind.

There are too many Sunliners and Crowns that are cruisers now. I personally think Crowns, Vic’s, & Sunliners should never be drag racer/gasser either with straight axles and cut wheel wells but that’s why we are all different. I don’t like dummy or real spots, twin rear antennas, nosed-decked, Continental kits, and 18-26” wheels on anything.
Your 2dr sedan looks great to me as all 56’s have a great style.

It's amazing just how nice a bone stock '56 Vickie can look, even in yellow. Now that red thing needs to go......RIGHT INTO MY DRIVEWAY !!!!!!!!

  9. The Sunliner came with a complete new interior kit which my brother and I installed over the last winter. The paint polished up pretty well (with a whole lot of elbow grease)! Big difference between the Campbells tomato soup red of the American Fiesta Red cars (as is on this New Jersey born convert) compared to the Carousel Red on the Canadian models..!

Looks pretty good! Is it still the original paint? Mine is and sure dies back quick anymore when I do get it polished back up. I need to figure out something to keep it from getting chalky so quick. I’m going to run out of paint to buff soon...

  12. Pretty sure it is a re-paint at some point - 'tho it is the correct colour.. And you are right, it gets "chalky" real quick! Yours looks good to me - especially being original paint!

  18. Sadly, this 56 no longer exists. I had taken a similar picture of it at the same show, in 2015. A year later, I was talking to a friend of the owner, who said it was t-boned viciously and written off. The owner bought back the salvage and parted it out, building something else other than another 56. I really liked the look of it, and it was clean and cool. A little FYI on it anyway!

A friend built this late 70's, maybe early 80's. It was called HIGH ROLLER, and had a caricature of a riverboat gambler painted on the corner oF the tailgate with the phrase "Haul your hoard in a Ford". I reeaaallly wanted to buy it when he sold it to finance another car, but alas, couldn't afford the 6 grand back in early 90's

As times and styles changed, he put the car a little closer to the earth and installed other Cragars, but not so wide. That was the way it was sold, then disappeared for over 25 years until it was offered at Gabeline auction in eastern IA.

Its now for sale about 30 miles from me, a lot more than 6 grand, and I still don't have the money.

Here's a fad I remember from the 50s . . . chroming the gas filler door. Why would you want to attract attention to this?

I know, what was up with that? I built a scale model replica of this car and took it to a national contest. I didn't chrome the door ... until I got back home. Gave it some Bare-Metal foil before I gave it to my friend as a gift.

Here's my 2nd car that I had in high school. Neptune green and Pinetree green with Night Prowler lake pipes. 01122017.jpg
