I kinda like that red/white car in the background ... oh, wait, that's not a Ford.

This IS a tasty Ranchero. Just looking at THAT trim in so many of the last several posts ... Looks good even on a 56 Wagon! The '57 Fairlane 500 with the Turnpike Cruiser style skirts featuring the stainless trim on the front and top edges got me wondering.

What if the Ranchero trim was lower on the body? Imagine if the "dip" almost touched the rocker panel, that would bring the rear spear a lot closer to the body line on the lower quarter. Maybe it would mimic the trim on that cruiser skirt? And of course, the front fender spear would have to be severely shortened to end somewhere midway up the wheelwell. Just thinking out loud. Any body ever seen it done?
