I would think you would at least have to change the deck lid and rear 1/4 panel end caps........and very possibly the rear bumper. Wiring harness changes etc. Depends on if you consider that "no problems".

Yep ,on all points. Finding an old 4 door should not be a problem and all parts should fit, Wait yours is a 4 door.

sounds like a lot of work - if you are going to go thru the trouble might as well go CUSTOM - or else your car will look like a 65 with a 66 front clip

or get a 65 and call it a day - the made about a million of 'em

I have owned both at one time . Just why do you want to do that anyway ? If you like the seperate tail lights over the solid single piece then why not use 59 Caddy light ? All those Caddy lights would really be different ! How about 55 Olds tail lights ? There is a bunch of tail lights that you could make fit and would be a really nice kustom look .
    Just a thought !

the reason I'm thinking 65 impala is because I thought it would be easiest. and I wouldn't have to do a lot of looking for other tail lights. And another reason I want the separate ones is because i just think it looks a lot cooler. ;)

i do not think easy as in bolt-on - there is going to be some cutting and welding - but start with acquiring a 65 deck lid first - and even that won't close shut til you do some surgery-

    good luck
