I purchased a vintage 1930's sprint car in Nova Scotia, Canada and trying to import to NJ. Car is paid in full and I have an enclosed transport company lined up. I'm running into problems with VIN/Ch***is numbers since it is an 85 year old home made race car. I've applied to US EPA for Race Car Exemption and also NTSB as a display vehicle. EPA did not yet approve it and I haven't heard back from NTSB. EPA states the NTSB approval doesn't help get it across the border and I would still need their approval.

Does anyone have a customs broker they've dealt with recently that could ***ist? I know I will need to pay the broker as well as any import duty. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Attaching a photo for a little eye candy and motivation. I want this car back in the US in a bad way.
