The "touched up" Olds was looking great yesterday Denise. Thanks for the call last night; glad you made it home safe. I know you're a big girl but you had a lot of driving yesterday. As a senior member I have to keep a look out for the girls.

Not a great turnout but enjoyed the chat with new and old friends. Thanks for getting it together Mike (Garagemahal) and great to meet your wife, daughter and future son-in-law. I got a kick out of the fact that you had to move the barrels to drive in with that "ultra-wide chrysler." Everyone else passed through easily.

That '40 Merc of Vert1940 is an amazing car; beautifully done and has to be a pleasure to drive.

Also enjoyed the flathead chat with Todd as he is getting ready to start on a '32 Pick up with flattie power.

    Hey all,

Well, lets just say I accomplished what I set out to do, which was initiate an actual car show with the generosity of the HAMB message board. And I must tell you the quality of the cars, and bikes that showed (not including mine) was fantastic. I will post pics tonight. These are cars that I someday hope mine will be as nice as. And not any trailer queens, but road warriors. We had twice as many cars as bikes show and all but one read about it on the HAMB. One of the bike riders saw the poster at the bike shop. Jay never was going to show up as his hosts had interviews and other things scheduled as I read later. I must say I had a great time and appreciate all who came out to show support. I think this is one we all will remember and talk about when bench racing, as the show that coulda been.

So the next thread I'm going to start is "what is the smallest car show you ever attended". Well, guess what? We Win! It was a big honkin deal here, as the ride to work had it all over the radio, not only in Cincinnati but in Columbus where my work buddy lives. I get home tonight to find Jay Leno on the front page of the newspaper. See link. http://news.cincinnati.com/article/20090510/NEWS01/305100015/-1/TODAY/Leno+brings+laughs
As promised a few photos from the show.

The cafe bike of Alienwerks, who was gettin the lowdown from Blown 49 on building a proper flathead for his 32 Ford project.

The beautiful 40 Mercury convertible whose trunk was still wet from last weekends jaunt down to Gatlinberg and four straight days of rain, owned by Verti940

And a gratuitous shot of the blown flathead, that sounded sooo sweet running down the road at full throttle, grabbin 2nd gear as he left the show. So that was the show!, Hope you enjoyed this thread.

Didn't get my photos outta the camera yet. Took Big Olds over to Scott's after work last night to throw him up on the hoist and go over him before my trip to the Jalopy Showdown this weekend. Found the trans cooler leaking like there's no tomorrow. Will replace it, do an oil change and be good to go. Tonight I should be able to post the group shot I took and a couple of the other people shots.

Not HAMB friendly, also it is in the earlier shot of the bike shop. Todd's bike made the cut, because its really cool, plus he is working on a traditional ride. Sent out a computer made card to Clinton County Motorsports with the BIG SHOW group photo on the front and a thank you message inside. So Jim, you can see your coaching on the photos worked great! Thanks, I just need to change the size from 1000 down to 800 or so next time.
    Till next time..
