I have a similar system on my drag outboard and it works fine. It is an F-1 V8 2 stroke with Nos. I have 2 separate systems each has its own pump and ball valve style pressure regulator. When it is time to hammer on it you just shut the 93 octane side off till the engine quits and then turn the 112 octane pump on. The ball valve regulators only flow one way.

I would look at the system 1980-1987 chevy trucks switch tanks. There is a switch on the dash and it doesn't take long to get fuel flowing from one side to the other, when you run one tank empty accidently.
