I saw your posts about my barn full of old cars, and all the b/sthat it caused. So im going to put them all on E Bay.
The Convertable I have no clue, but the other car looks like a 40 Ford Coupe. A friend of mine had one.
Why don't you ask the owner what it is, and why he put it up in a barn where it's out of the weather and no one can see it? Just because they're in a barn doesn't mean they're abandoned. Larry T
Sniff, I've got nothing left near me. My old barn finds consist of old manure. Maybe thats what my next project should be a dual sidemount vehicle. I don't see many if any near me.
Whoever owns them is a collector. They obiously like them or they wouldnt have several. They could be worth more to the present owner than anyone is willing to pay. See If you can get the owner to price them first. Remember the present owner dont have for sale sign,s on them. If you wish to buy offer the most you are willing to pay or can afford. If your offer is rejected give the owner your phone number in case they later decide to accept. I bought a 56 chev a year after i made a offer for less than half of the asking price. OldWolf
A collector who obviously likes them....right. I guess that's why he parked a mountain bike on top of it...
The conv is not a suicide door, you can see the hinge below the bike. I'd make that to be a 34-5 V-8 cabriolet or conv coupe. Sadly the restoration costs for anyone but a do-it-yourself type would have you upside down in no time at today's labor rates. Eventually you'd get it back as prices rise over time. I'd think the best one on the planet might bring a bit over $100K. The coupe I think has beed properly called out as 35-6 small Cad/LaSalle. Too many variables to price that one. Anyone can check current values very easily. Grab a Hemmings and do a 'net search of some of the bigger auctions. What many find here when asking values is the infantile ******* contest of "what your willing to..." seasoned with the ongoing disdain of nice and valuable things that sadly is growing on this board like mold. Truth be told none of it is worth a truck load of old horse****. It's garbage. It ain't worth having. Who'd pay that. What waste. Leave it like it is. Why are you going to restore it. There's a hook though. If it belonged to one of the above mentioned nay-sayers it would be the most valuable 1 off highest priced example known to man, and even covered in pidgeon **** and surface rust it's worth more than the perfect one that sold at BJ or RM last year. Ok, now that I've vented a bit I'd love to see more as well and I'd be happy to help you make a deal if you can buy em. No charge, no hooks, just helpin out if I can. Good luck.
Yeah seems to be the same down here as they have manure , hay or tractors in them . There is a Shelby sitting in a barn not far from here but a lot of people know about it . A lot of the old stuff in this area was just left out in fields or the woods to rot.
