  3. Sep 10 Tromper’s Swap meet, 7544 North Figueroa, Eaglerock, 323-255-7564, 323 401-3994

This is a small local club swap meet (definitely not the LA Roadster show). Worth stopping at if you are close but not worth traveling too far to get to it.

I'm proud. The Irish-American parade is in March though.

  6. The racing at El Mirage starts right after the driver's meeting, which is usually held around 7:15 on Sunday morning. If you feel like getting a good taste of what Dry Lakes racing is all about, try to spend Saturday night on the lakebed . . .

Depending on what time you leave on the 24th, "the largest one day charity car show in the world" takes place in Orange County with around 4,000 cars. "Cruisin' for a Cure". George Barris is usually around to sell you his autograph .

Nightime temps in the high desert are very comfortable that time of year. 60-70 degrees.

This is the Center of the World of Speed. Escondido Cruise every friday night is a must see. Get there early about 2pm,. Grab something to eat. Plenty of out door cafe's. Then just watch the cars show up.

EL MIRAGE, We normally get out there Sat afternoon for tech and to set up camp. It get hot, windy and dusty during the day and the wind and temps calm for the night. Racing usually starts around 8am on Sunday and runs till the weather stops us. Dont let the wind, heat and dust discourage you, thats what I love about the place! Look for the "LANCE SPEED RACING" banners and say hi!
