In Honor of our Bay Staters on the HAMB

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by safariknut, Mar 21, 2004.

  1. Playing around in the shop this afternoon and decided to do this in honor of my home state.I guess this is what people from M***achusetts are referred to as now.Too bad you have to run two plates there;I guess I'll just have to stick it on the front of the Safari when I go out there for the Ty-Rods Show this year. I'm a M***hole and that plate rocks! What's wrong with aggressive driving?

The people I cant stand are the yearly influx of stupid college kids trying to navigate around Boston... but nubile college gal's do serve a purpose.

Morrisman, it is a play on words. People from M***achusetts are often referred to as "M*** Holes."

  11. That's great!!
I can think of about 200 people off the top of my head who could use that plate.
I can't help but think about an article in the Herald (I know, I know) from maybe 10 years ago. It was a write-up on vanity plates and the main part of the story was how people in the registry had to "diplomatically" explain to an "elder" official that a plate with "69" wasn't exactly acceptable.
"What's next?" was a quote "Someone banning the number '14'?"
BTW....exaclty where did you perfect your plate making skills?......I can think of several "training facilities in the area....but no one is exactly clamoring to join if you know what I mean.

Well I'm not a Cedar Junction Alumnus, but have known a few people who are(were).Im happy that no one took it as a personal affront.I had someone send me an e-mail awhile back(when my e-mail was working that is)detailing the 35 reasons that allow you to be called a,"M***hole" and it was right on the money!I wish I still had it(and that my e-mail worked too).
BTW I grew up in Saugus(about 10 miles north of Boston),worked and lived in Salem and Chelsea, and for several years worked at Foreign Motors on the corner of Comm Ave and Brighton Ave so I have much experience in "survivalist driving" as a member in good standing of the Commonwealth Avenue Grand Prix and an ***ociate membership in the Route 2 Timing ***ociation.

Looking forward to coming there in September for the Ty-Rods show.

  13. Ah yes...the Comm Ave Gran Prix/jersey barrier climb...I know it well...I lived in Brighton for 10 years.

I saw you a few years back at the Ty Rods show...I was milling about waiting to introduce myself but didn't want to interupt (everytime I saw you you were busy) so I just kept finding new reading material on your car [IMG]

I'll be sure to be more of a "m***hole" this year!

Well you should have! [IMG]This year by all means interrupt;it's always good to talk to a fellow HAMBer.Last year was kind of a horror show and I had to cut my time out there short because of recurring eye problems(which still are unresolved).Hopefully this year will be different.I heard that not only is the show going back to a Monday venue, but it might be held somewhere south of Boston.

  15. Hey it's official - the 2004 OldTimers Night will not be held on Monday - it will be held on Sunday. ALSO, get this...it will not be held in Hudson - it will be held in Canton!! Some place with real nice grounds. A horse place I heard. Easy access at the junction of 128 and 138.

I heard this a few weeks ago but they were still making up their mind. Talked to the Sleeze this afternoon and it's official - he read it in the TyRods newsletter.

So there you have it. See you in Canton Ray!
