Hot Rods In need of a bit of help...

I was curious to know if anyone can tell what brand and perhaps year (or years)...this alternator would be. It was on the car when I bought it and unfortunately I cannot see any markings on it. Any help would be appreciated.

If anyone has had any luck in powder coating alternators (black) or someone that sells them as such, that would be great to know as well...since I'm wanting to replace this one I think black would do my engine more justice than chrome.

You could have it powder coated. Be sure the coater mask off the area that slips together. The powder builds and makes it hard to reassemble. Also the powder coat will not let the unit ground so you will have to grind away some coating at the mounting points.
