    Hey, Doug;
    I must have missed what your builder found to be the issue on the #4 piston +.060 high.
    Too long C-C rod length, or piston pin .060 too low?
    Just curious... I'd guess the #4 was previously replaced???

    So an update.
    Pat has been working his magic on the jenkins and giving her the needed attention. 1st off there was an 1/8 space between the head and motor originally. As the clearances were right. Pat had the head fully welded and milled down to remove the gasket.
    Next he discovered thst it didn't have hardened valve seats so he installed those and went a little bigger with the new stainless intake valves.
    Also while working the rocker arm situation he moved the whole rocker arm assembly forward and built custom billet aluminum 4" roller rockers so now we have the correct ratio/clearance with the pushrods and block. The jenkins is have is one of the later California ones and the valve covers aren't flat and curve up to clear the intake runners, so in a effort to seal better and not leak oil. Pat cut the bottoms off the valve cover and will weld the bottoms down thus creating a dam to keep the oil in and then the valve covers ca. Seal better being a flat surface. The next thing he is tackling is the oiling system as before they had 1/16 copper line running thru the head/water area and coming out at the rocker stands. To prevent oil line failures he is talking about moving it externally and going thru the bottom damn part of the valve covers now. Pat is doing an amazing job and has so much knowledge when it come to the jenkins and 4 bangers. I just mailed him the vital parts with the plan of him putting it on his test stand to get it dialed in. Pat had been fixing alot of issues from when the motor was first built and dealing with things that we not square or right. Doug
