finishing up the chop on my c10 took out 6" and am thinking of shortning the wheel base but i think it might look goofy has anyone done something like this?
I'm not familiar enough with the pickup to call it, but if your truck is a typical "short-bed" type, you might want to try other customizing efforts. Shortening the wheelbase lessens, that's Lessens the stability of the "platform" (you and guest(s) and truck) at speed. Having driven a student built short wheel-based electric car, the sensation was not unlike hurtling down the road at 55...in a shopping cart! Dragsters are long for a reason, Altered gasser type cars could be squirrely at speed...exciting to watch, yes, but not much fun to pilot.
