Event Coverage Inaugural River Rat - Rod Run, Fulton, NY

The first River Rat - Rod Run, in Fulton, NY kicked off today. Bob and Rob O'Connor
(Syracuse Nationals) are the promoters of this new show. They realize that the Traditional
Hot Rod is very alive and well. Being the first run, they can only get bigger and better as word of this show spreads. Here are the Pix that I took today. WARNING : There may be a few Pix that may be construed to be "Ratty". Hopefully, you will like the mix of traditional vehicles.

 

Very nice! That 54 Pontiac looks fantastic! I saw it when it was for sale, what a difference. I hope to make it tomorrow.

Sorry, but that looks to me to be a 32 5-Window that is completely screwed up. From the looks of many of the cars there the run is aptly named.

Very cool show, if it werent 4 hours away I would head up there to the next one.

How was the swap?

I p***ed, I thought the price was too high for tiny spots. Plus I figured being opposite the Jordan Fall Festival car show on Sunday would pretty much wipe out any second day sales.

 

Whew, thank goodness for hyphens otherwise this was a River Rat Rod Run and that wouldn't be a good thing for the HAMB.

 

I went Saturday. Small show with a lot of potential. I thought Sunday was going to be effected by Jordan as well.
Swap was only about 5 venders

Couldn't bring the car due to ongoing rear hub issue

I thought I recognized the old bald guy with the beard....Mark. Lol

What I thought. After doing Moravia and Wampsville and ramming two weeks in a row, I don't want to do a two day show, and Jordan is nuts with what they want for spots - one quarter or less of the space (10x10 instead of 20x20 or 20x30) for five bucks more than the other two.
