Duhhh! Read it again instead of cherry picking pieces for the sake of arguing.
I wrote.............

Also adding a front bumper with shortened brackets [mounted close to the frame horns] will do wonders for the stance and make a visual barrier .

The photo was of a full fendered car with front bumper [shortened brackets]
In that photo it is really difficult to see the axle [ A-Arms would be just as difficult to see]

Not being argumentative, as I agree with what you said..........

I just feel that if someone wants their personal hot rod to have certain components, then they should be proud of their choices and not try to conceal them. Take the LS engines popularity. Many people try to disguise them as SBCs. Any hot rodder should be able to simply compare the siamesed exhaust manifold vs the equally spaced LS exhaust and it doesn't matter how much they disguised it. Doing fake things to appease other people is lame (IMHO). There are different styles of builds within each type of car out there. Cars built as lakesters (for example) tend to look a certain way overall but each has its own owners individual choices incorporated. They are not "cookie cutter" identical and neither are hot rods built for the street. They have similarities and variations. Independent suspension is just another variation on a common theme. We all look at well done cars and find things that we would not have done if it was ours..........but we appreciate that we got to enjoy seeing another variation on a theme.
I won't try to hide the independent suspension on my 32 when its done, because I don't feel the need to please the nostalgia buffs. When I was at the Street Rod Nationals, I saw quite a few 32s with independent suspension.

Mine will be more like this

Not tryin to hide and not trying to stand out either. A friend once told me that chrome suspension was for people that usually don't drive as much and painted suspension was for people who drive their car a lot..........
