well having been around him, and his belief in the life here and every where ,all we are is a p***ing of time with each other , so ,i hope he makes it to keep p***ing time with us!!! And if I'm called away and it's my turn to go, Should the blood run cold in my veins, Just one favor I'll be asking you, Don't bury me here it's too cold, Take me back, Carry me back, Down to Gasoline Alley where I started from" indian larry
Wow...that kind of thing comes with being a wild man but I'm sure he always is aware of that and chooses not to have it any other way. They say if you're not busy livin', you're busy dyin'. This guy has been livin' and I'll bet he's tough to kill. Hopin for the best for him. Keep us posted.
WoW, I hope the news doesn't turn back around. I met Larry for the first time in person at Myrtle Beach in May. He was doing his autograph thing and when my turn came up I introduced myself and told him Sue got a real kick out of talking with him on the phone whenever he called to order something. He jumps up and comes around the table "Hey I've got to give you one of these posters over here!!" "Why?" I ask. "Cause I'm wearing one of your sweatshirts on it!" he replies. Well sure enough he's got a No Club Lone Wolf sweatshirt on in the poster with the Rat Fink build off bike. All of a sudden he's making me feel like I'm someone special. I hung around for a while (maybe trying to soak up some of his energy) and sure enough he found a way to make everyone that came up for an autograph feel special. And what a showman - one minute he's signing stuff, the next he's running over to the bike on display - a couple of jumps and then he's revving the piss out of it - shuts if off and runs back over to the autograph table - "Hi sweetie, aren't you a looker, come around here and let's get your picture taken with me for your friends back home... Let's hope he pulls thru.
Bummer man, I was just watching him on TV Friday night. Lets all pray for him guy's. Prayer if some very powerfull stuff.
[ QUOTE ] They say if you're not busy livin', you're busy dyin'. This guy has been livin' and I'll bet he's tough to kill. [/ QUOTE ] ......sure hope you're right. We need as many cool people in this world as we can get........

Ive seen indian Larry's work and Ithink that the world be lost without a great artist like Indian Larry PRAYING FOR YOU LARRY!!!!
Man I can't believe it. I have met him a couple of times and he has always taken the time to talk to me. When I saw him at the Smoke-Out he asked me if he could get one of my Sneaky Tiki shift knobs I am working on for his new Tiki bike. Just sent it off this Sat...Man we are praying for you Larry. Hang in there.
Hopefully he'll pull through. At least it happened doing something he loved. Not at the hands of a deaf, dumb, and blind old fart on the roadway.
I just got this message this morning.. >>He was doing a show in North Carolina...doin his wall of fire etc.. all day running hard.. took his fire suit off... jumped up on the saddle... and p***ed out.. got light headed or something.. fell off the bike.. hit his head... he was doing only 20mph when he fell... they did surgery yesterday...(it was extensive sugery on the head)..... his heart gave out early this morning........ (8/30/04)..... he'll be cremated..a service is expected at Coney Island later this week.. for all those that need to get there..
I only saw him on the biker build-off and in The Horse but I really liked his style of bikes and he seemed like a really down to earth kind of guy. I'm sure he will be missed by many. RIP
Some days it just doesn't pay to turn on the computer. Now him and Big Daddy can discuss all the details on the Rat Fink Chopper........................... Vaya con Dios, Carnal............................
Man tha is some very sad new he was one hell of a guy. and had some super ideas when it came to building. his talent will be missed. drew
I gotta say, I only new of him from the mags and tv, but he was one of those people who really seemed to be full of life. Seemed like one of those people who got and gave a lot of respect. Like someone allready said, just glad it wasn't by some jack*** on a cell phone, he wouldn't have deserved to go out like that. I do hope this makes some people rethink the helmet thing, though.
I got to meet him at a bike show in New Orleans last year. He was very cool and had no at***ude what so ever, and as we all know was one hell of a bike builder! R.I.P. Indian Larry sled
