Indiana Newbies first post w/Fear and trembling after reading "sticky"

I've been haunting this site for a couple of years and I think I will fit in?

I live in Southern Indiana and commute to louisville daily. Family man who likes bluegrass music, Rving, and drag racing.

Although I've built several cars and regularly race an old Malibu wagon...I've recently gotten the itch to build a 292 inline Chevrolet to go into a 39 Oldsmobile sedan gasser project. It's a really nice car but I'm not really into restoring these old rides origional.

This wil be my first six build and I've learned that these little motors aren't cheap and "the hunt" for HP parts is all part of the challenge.

I don't see many pictures of the sedan gassers so I'm not really sure which way to go (straight axle or...?). Time will tell as to how it will look in the end.

Any input or pics would be appreciated and always looking forward to talking with folks in the area, at the track or cruises.
