There are a bunch of small Discrete turn lights for Harleys and other bikes on Ebay. eBay item number:264644306370 or for the second ones eBay item number:143667357196 They are small, usually pretty rugged and you can mount the just about where ever you want to. Back in the 70's when I built my T bucket I just went down to a Local to me then Japanese bike shop in Waco and got into their box of turn lights on the take off shelf that they had new lights for about 5 bucks each if not less then.
Old, as in early 1970s old, IH Loadstar school buses had some nice ones. I have one as an oil pressure warning light in my truck. Edit, it never occurred to me that you mean turn signals. lol
I wanted some for the front of my roadster too. There are a lot out there but I looked at all of them and finally picked these as the least obnoxious. The extended stalk is thread locked on but can be removed for a shorter profile. https://www.jpcycles.com/product/jp...um=email&utm_source=jp_cycles&sku_id=10237534
I was thinking of using 32 or 33/34 Ford cowl lights on my 33 pickup down on the frame where my old square motorcycle units are now and then just stick a amber bulb in the housing. Ive seen one 32 high boy coupe with them and really liked it.
Some of those super small bullet lights actually don’t show up very well. Lots of speedster guys use them, and I’ll be damned if I can see their signals in daylight tours. Nighttime, no problem.
I used the ones in the lower picture on my '31. They were made for a HD bike and have worked well.Too many cars out there with those rectangular street roddy turnsignals.
Fender indicators for '64-'66 tbird. Mounted on the front fenders for the driver but can be turned outward and fit almost anywhere. Come in 2 different styles depending on the year.
The rectangular lights are dual filament & large enough to be seen in daylight , function over form is best sometimes ( if you actually drive your car)..
Guide 904 lens grafted onto the '35 bucket on my coupe. Arrow also made some 775 lights with indicator light on top, white lens to front and a small red lens on the back.
I know you said non led but this is a custom set I made for a 34 chevy. They filled the gap where the bumper mounts came through the fender. The idea is to make them discreat. The 12v led panels amd amber diffuser came off ebay.
I added Dorman 54427 1999-2010 F350 amber fender clearance lights for turn signals in the fender fronts with Standard S697 pigtails. I had cut fender for tunneled can but changed my mind.
I seem to be stuck on this problem too. So far, I have tried out two different bullet shaped turn signal - park light setups and they both used LEDs. My wiring seems to check out but problems come up when I try to use the park light and turn signal functions at the same time so I want to go back to conventional incandescent bulbs but they are too big to fit inside these bullet housings. Today I plan on working on this and hope something works.
Vintage motorcycle add-on turn signals....these were on an old Indian. Clear lens with amber bulb......not sure if that combo makes a difference (rather than the clear bulb/amber lens) but they're nice and bright.
First photo I could find of them i I think they are probably the same lights as @Joe Blow shows. They were accessories for Indian motorcycles but also showed up on all sorts of stuff including tractors. I’ve seen some chromed but all of mine are painted. I believe they are stamped guide possibly? I’ve a few friends that have run them as tail lights so they must be bright enough for a blinker.
