Industrial Hemi??

    Found this motor this p*** summer and noticed that the top pans had Industrial wrote on them.Is there anything special about these engines?

    i heard (but don't know for sure) that they have solid lifters and adjustable rocker arms,which is why they have bumps in the valve covers.but there's no way to know unless you tear into it-george

    That is a solid lift moter..the bumps on the covers....Highly sought after....All chrysler p***. were hydralic lift......as fer horsepower...the moter has little.....but that can easliy be remieded. check the # on the front pad for identifacation...located just behind the cross over.....The block has a different w/p openings than trucks or cars.....ya got good raw material to work with

    Actually, the 300 series had solid lifters, but the rest were hydraulic

  7. Yeah that rocker gear and those valve covers are good items, I happen to be looking for some right now.

    I just stripped an industry hemi with bumped covers and the rocker arms were just regular.

    Great info.I`m going to see what the guy wants for it and if the price is not out to lunch I`ll pick it up.Are the intakes different on these engines then on the regular hemi?
