Some times you feel like a nut and some times you don't ! In my line of work we say that nuts cause nothing but problems! HA HA In more ways then one
GMC Bubba, your e-mail invitation was read out loud at our Rodders club meeting tonight. I have never seen 43 more confused people in my life. I had all I could do to not laugh out loud as the reader stumbled his way through reading the invite. I am new to the club but it became pretty apparent that my club mates do not read the HAMB . At one point I tried to interrupt and explain that Bubba's Trailer Park Mfg's old school tear drop trailers and was still getting a room full of blank stares so I just gave up. What are you gonna do??
Must be the river water over there.. This is our second hot rod get together the sat before easter. Last years event had approx 100 cars and hungry hot rod dudes. Bubbas Hot Rod Shop and Trailer Park is one of five area shops sponsoring the meeting as well as the Indiana Street Rod Association. We will start at the Linder Fuel Injection Shop with a walking poker run to four additional fab shops. We start at 10:00 and end at 1:00 or so. Usually the group hangs out later than that. Free hot dogs, moon pies and cokes at the trailer park. See the trailer park at www.bubbastrailerpark.com .
Less than two weeks away and I have 3 weeks of work to do. I will be there, I may be walking, but I will be there!
Got it on my calender Jim. Me and Hannah will be there for the easter eggs and moon pies. No show car or saran wrapped tires but the pam cooking oil sounds interesting. See y'all there.
If we ain't planting corn, I may have to buzz over there. I need to bring Dickster an intake anyway. If I lived in Indy, I would be hanging out at gasoline alley all the time. I saw that Cobra about a month ago. It is cool to see a car like that that has been used and abused.
Aaron, come on down to Indy and we'll hang out. Being as you're coming down bring me a pair of '40 ford rims with 'ya. (I know you have a set somewhere) I'm ready to get started on my roadster project and need them for the front. See 'ya at Lindners.
I hope I can make it now...Sold my hardtop, truck is in the paint booth, and coupe is lacking 2 15 x 6 ford rims.. Spoons
BTW, that is not a cobra, it's an AC. It's the original sports car shelby started with, and ultimately turned into the cobra. (Hence the moniker AC Cobra) Very cool body & birdcage, Denny is a craftsman for sure.
Hey Spoons........ I got a couple of old Ford rims out behind the garage. They're not chrome but you can have'm if ya need'm so you can get a Moonpie.
Yeah, this weather change sucks. It is going from the mid 70s to a high of 42 and a low of 19 Saturday. What really bites is that it will hurt the turn out. If it were sunshine and 70 the alley would be packed. See you there!
Rain, cold or shine we have 500 hot dogs ready to cook! You guys got to help me out here, i have to eat what ever is left over the next few weeks............ Its going to be nice weather (just cold nice weather) !!!!!!!!!
i wouldn`t miss it for nothin. if you need any extra help getting things ready or what-not , just shoot me a pm. its nice to hang out with good people.
Dan, I believe it all strats at 10:00. I will probably go over early and see if any one needs any help or just bum around on the alley, pretty much what I do most Saturday mornings. Hope to see you there.
42 is great! If I can drive the roadster in 3 degree weather to the World of Wheels, then I'm driving it to the cookout as well.
Doggone Indiana weather!!! Looks like I'll hafta get the snow shovel outta the garage and throw it in the back of the sedan!!! Don't make me no difference...I've been accused of being as dumb as a bag of hammers before. See you HARD CORE hotrodders at Lindners place. DAMN weather...grumble...grumble...grumble.
Anyone have an address for this? I've never been before and I'm not from around here so I need to Map quest it. I'm gonna try to make this hopefully it isn't too far... Thanks -Zipp
