Alright guys, I just got off the phone with the man who is handling the HA/GR's at Indy this year. I need you to let me know on this post, how many and who of the HA/GR's is going to Indy. What they will do is pay your entry fee and give you some run time on the track. They need to know who is going to be there so they can have the entries ready when you arrive at the gate. They have already indicated that there does not seem to be any interest in anyone going this year. Please reply to this post or PM me with your names and the cars that you are bringing to Indy as soon as possible. I will not be able to make it this year, but will gladly forward all of the info to them. Thanks, Robert
Cowboy Bob and myself cancelled out because of lack of interest. Bubba was the only one that responsed that he would be there. We really wanted to run, but it looked like we would just be racing ea other and we can do that here for alot less money!!! 2B
Well, I have no car to drive and no gas money. Saving my money for Boling Green. I'm afraid the cost of gas is really going to hurt our sport.
I'am tring to get mine done in time but rather think it will be more like bowling green instead. I built my crosley in only 4days but that was 25yrs. ago. Seems the body wears out much sooner, but the heart is still in it. We are building 2 cars ,223 ford and a170 falcon engine. Will post pictures soon, will try to make GG but job gets in the way. I was unsure what was going on, GG web site was down. I will try to pickup pace and have one there. THE WRECK OL' 97,
I would love to go to Indy. As was stated before the fuel issue is the hard part. It costs me $160 just for gas to go to Tulsa plus $30 to get in. I have a place to stay for free at my cousin's. My pension won't support those outlays to often. I think that we will have to weather the storm but the immediate future looks like less racing.Roy
