After many threads some of which have gotten really long i decided to start a new one and add each weeks info.
Bubbas wed night get togethers started out with a group og HAMBers in Indy just getting together and hanging out ,helping each other and traveling together. Its gotten bigger eavh week and now we average 10-15 people each week. This has become quite a group of friends!!
Everyone and anyone is invited to join in and all are welcomed...
No rules , no dues, no club just pals sharing a common interest of cars !

Last night was a good evening with over 20 people hanging out over the evening. We decided to drive over to main street in Speedway and check out the new sandwich shop on main street. Lindross and I had been there already and loved it.
Little Mexican place using "Bubba" logic for business. Simple menu ( 9 sandwiches) stools for seating and $5.25 each ...drinks in a cooler and just hang out. We attracted some attention going in and a area newspaper stopped to see what was going on. I think 20 guys walked in at the same time.
After that we returned to the shop and put new wires on Big Ds 48 Pontiac, cleaned up a carb base of two for Dennis and hung out the reat of the evening ..

    Pictures to follow...

Run around Sue came by for a few minutes...

Checking out Big Ds 48 Pontiac..

Wow another wed evening gone. It seems to get easier and bigger each week. Run Around Sue made us a huge pot of chili and merl ( one of the guys down the street) also made up a pot of his chili as well. Guess you could call it a cook off. Beats me who won as all was eaten over the period of the evening and we had enough gas in the building to heat the place.
Tie rod and Brian got the bumper car axles done so the thing can now roll on its own. The crew got the 235 back together and figured out the bent valve issue from before. Seems the engine builder ( beats me who that was) put the wrong push rods in the engine. Our new replacements were shorter. Its together now with new valves and push rods.
The roo man took our gmc engine plate to make up a dyno load plate so we can get the dragster engine on the dyno.
The 235 will become a test stand engine for small carbs etc.....
Awesum evening for sure. A clean shop helps the moral i think..:D
Also got the s10 rear axle ready for the krylon 2 project.... I love the idea of these S10 rears, come with emergency brakes, disc brakes right size etc..........

Good stuff. Might guard those tires extra close or they might find their way on the Krylon I... :D A cleaner reorganized shop has helped immensely I believe. We can actually see what needs worked on now.

Are those Excesslor tires from Coker? I love those tires. That is what I want to put on the Sedan after I wear out the Second set of Dirt Tires I just put on last summer.

Blaney is topping the scales at about 42 pounds these days. I have no idea where she is geting the tall and skinny genes....

If she wasn't so stubborn and bullheaded I would think she wasn't mine!

That's awesome. The checklist is actually bigger than the car.

Woo Hoo the holidays are wearing me out!!
The Eagletucky Buick is fixed now , no leaks etc. Had to remove the oil pan and repair pan seal and timing cover seal. The boys did a great job on wed evening getting it done!!!
Bumper car making progress thanks to the chief bumper car engineer the " Roo Man"
Krylon 2 build has headed a different direction and twin tube Honest Charlie frame has been put aside ( just couldnt cut it up) and replaced with swap meet T frame. S-10 rear end has been freshed up with new brakes etc and a clean up. Donated hair pins will be used on rear axle and in stock swap meet 39 ford front axle with wide fives are going to be used.
Rules are " lets get er done" and use whats in the shop. Looks like it may be a roller this week. Will use a 20 dodge roadster just like the Krylon car.
The suave yellow roadster is due for a makeover starting this sat and must be done in the next 5 weeks. The boys are committed to seeing this car with new paint etc at the feb Motorrama in Indy!!!

Cool to have the kids hanging out with you guys. To many left at home staring at a game boy or tv, atta boys!! Runaroundsue is a fox!! I,ll be sending you my dizzy for a little Bubba magic soon. Beware Lindross! your Valiant would only take out the 56 Suburban by 20 car lengths--vs last year of 35 at the H.A.M.B. drags, after Bubba gives me "The Hot Spark" special dizzy treatment. Love the bumper car project! Best to all the Indy gang in 09!!~Sololobo~
