Folks Of Interest INFO on Kat VonD's Chevy?

she kindof sucks for having zero personality and saying "rad" and "cool, cool" too much and her show is pretty boring. but uhhh thats pretty interesting that she was just a socal rockabilly chick in the day. yeah yeah back to the car, its pretty nice. girly for sure.

 

Is there really a good reason to talk shit about her on here? It'd be funny if she came on here and talked some shit about you. Seems pretty fucking lame to start off talking about her car and then start throwing around personal insults. You must be pretty fucking cool....

 

Dude, Im thinking the same thing. But you can get a good idea about a person, by how they speak about people they dont know. Ive learned that people that talk shit about people they dont know are usually the "Bring people down to their level" types.

Im no fan of her show. I love her car, and pretty much anyones on this board. I love tattoos. She has some great ones, like a lot on this board.

TO be honest, she would probably fit in great here. Better than most of the shit talkers that is.

Just my .02, and that with $1.98 will get you a two dollar cup of coffee.

I like her car. There are things I'd change if it were mine, but that's what all of us would do with just about every car we see. I agree that either scallops or an off-white roof would look good. But that's what hot rodding is all about. Doing your own thing.

 

her dad built the car. he has a shop, i can't rember where. Kat is a really cool person, she also did tattoo's of my kids.

 

Don't really care either way, but put yourself on a reality show about yourself and your opening yourself to everything. On topic the car is pretty cool.

 

Kat doesn't show any respect to local tattoo artists. The people that paved to way for her "style." That alone, in my opinion, makes her a fake. Pay your dues and show respect. "nuff said

Badbob, are those the only pics you have of the chevy? I would love to see the lump in it...as for the assholes, guys, they are everywhere, As long as there are assholes, there will be guys that bag on the assholes for being assholes. My paw is missing out on a great resource(the HAMB). Mostly because "They cuss too much" he says.

Too bad. He could offer a lot to this board.

My older son talks to her on his myspace and he told her I had a flamed Merc so she sent him those pic's. So I saved them and thought some of the Chevy guys might like it. Funny thing about the heart taillights,I know many guys who have done unique things to their cars so people would know it's their car. You would definately know it's her car if you saw it,because of those lights.

 

Don't know her but she is pals with several folks on here who I have met and respect. That is enough for me. Gotta have huge ovaries to drive something with that much bassboat flake! I think it works for her. Neat car. stickers in envelope as we speak.

 

When it was at Viva,it still had the stock engine in it. I was wondering if it was still the stock running gear.

 

First thing thought when i saw the picture is she's not worried about the paparazi at all haha...but i would really like to get a set and turn them into a broken heart or maybe throw a mom in em or something

Funny how someone who isn't even a member of the HAMB rates stickers that most members would never receive. It always amazes me how some people will fawn all over a celebrity or a pretty face.
The car is nice, not really special considering the money she has to throw at it. The tail lights are really well done, though girly. But the rest of the car is really just so so, compared to many that I've seen built by guys and gals here on the HAMB and elswhere, sans rock star stickers.

 

If you ever watched her do a black & grey tat you wouldn't ask why but wonder how could that much talent be wrapped up in that bitchin of a lady. If I lived closer to her I would be wearing a black & grey body suit............. and I have none to start with, saving myself for her I guess................

 

Ive got one on my right arm by Brian Everett (beatniks)...I wish I could aford to have her do a tat for me,her talent is unreal,glad she got outa Miami...who knows maybe she will show up at the reopening of the Broilier........

 

I like it. For some reason I thought it was silver. I saw the show where they showed the deck lid, and I thought her Dad was working on it.

 

As a former Hollywood resident, i'll tell you that I would be totally stoked to see that car driving around town-- it would make my day. I drove my 62 Lincoln convertible everyday when i lived there, and felt i was doing my thing in keeping Hollywood interesting-- unlike all the boring cookie cutter shit on the road. In addition, I love nothing more than seeing girls into and driving old cars. Hat's off to all of them that do--- tv show or not.

Heck I like the car as is, looks like it fits her personality great. As far as her show I think I might have seen one or two episodes, and maybe the same amount of the one where she was in Miami. From what I can tell she seems to be a really nice girl and I think its great that she likes Traditional Hot Rods!

 

Im with Bad Bob here. The car is great and Kat is also. To all the shit talkers out there that can't get past something they dont like on a car or who owns it. GET OVER IT..... What would our lifestlyle of great traditional rods and customs be like if they were all the same. Yeah i might not like a certain modification, but I appreciate it for the work the owner did to achieve it , why bad mouth it. Whats great is that we have so many great builders and owners that we all can get some inspiration from.

all I know is one episode of the show I'm pretty sure they show her dad working on the car, showing off the metalfake for the first time. looked like it was his shop. if not thats some strange staged stuff. if he's a doctor/hotrodder well that'd be cool too.
