Sorry for the bad pic. Just curious if anyone knows any thing about this car, particularly the rear suspension setup. If I recal it has c10 trailing arms. I would like to see a pick of this and how it is installed withe the vert X frame.

    Thanks in advance, Eric H.

Not the same but similar. My 46 Olds chassis with OEM trailing arm suspension and centre x-member, very similar to C10 Chevy with coil springs. Convertibles usually have heavier X-member material than sedans

Thanks for posting. Does the olds have a different way of attaching the axle to the arms?

The Olds has rubber isolators, 2 above and 2 below on each trailing arm. Long bolts sandwich the top to bottom. I'll see if I can photocopy the workshop manual to show everything in detail. Bushes are still available via Steel rubber. The front bushes are also still available. As a side note I'm installing another similar Olds set up in a friends 42 Chevy PU with a 9". OEM setup comes with sway bar as well. I'm swapping the OEM coils and lever action shocks for coilovers. I had to step up the rear chassis as they was no travel.

Very cool! Thanks for the info, it looks like it would have a nice ride as well as making it possible to change the tires on a lowered shoebox.
