Information needed: Stewart Warner 200-A-6 Fuel Pump

Hi guys, I recently picked up A Stewart Warner 200-A-6 , 6 volt electric fuel pump. (Color green with yellow lettering)
My question is:
>should they be mounted any particular way? In other words, Is there an upside down or wrong way?
>When were they produced?
Any general information about these things would also be greatly appreciated! Thanks

I would say photo #2 looks more correct, with all the leaky parts connections below the electrical parts.

You might add the words 'fuel pump' to the end of the thread title.
