im not taking any sides, but me and about 10 of my buddys rolled our cars saturday (35$ pre-reg).and had a blast!!!!.we brought water and food and partied all day into the nite, some just got home this morning.saw the adolescents and vandals, and saw tons of friends from all over so-cal.security was super mellow this year, even told us to put our "snuck in" beers in cups.i kind of like keeping the price high,it keeps out the "riff raff"...no fights all day..or nite!..truly one of a kind show..no show, has the eye candy that this show attracts, and ive been to them all!!..tattoos,hot rods..and hot broads..thanx to the cavaliers and mofos..
we will all be back next year..:)

Holy hell thats a hell of a line up band wise!!! Bet that was one hell of a show.

  9. i got there at 8:15 as a 'vendor' of sorts. the guys at registration were super cool and really helpful. looked like cars were rolling in pretty painlessly. not sure what time it started getting busy because we were tucked away in the corner, but there was a good sized crowd by around 10. everyone was in good spirits, pretty good assortment of cars, lots of pretty high quality stuff.

i thought for sure that for all the drinking there was as early as there was there would have been more belligerent idiots walking around, but i didnt encounter any. i do know that people were puking before 11 because i walked into a porta-john that was well decorated, but no fights or idiocy that i saw.

the bands that i heard were REALLY good. got to listen to the Skatellites and Fishbone which were both a real treat.

when i left at 5 the line was unimaginable. freaking insane. security was super cool with letting me make multiple trips in thru the exit gate to load my stuff out. i really would have liked to stay the rest of the night, but i had a family thing.

i will go back next year with a car and for the whole weekend whether i'm 'working' or not. its not really my 'scene', but it had a really good feel. only bummer is i didn't get to go inside to check out the tattoo show or wander the ship. i'd really like to experience the show as a whole next time, but for now, kudos Trace and crew!

Had a damn blast this year. The rides present were top quality and the whole atmosphere was mello with none of the bullshit. We had no problems getting the ride in at all waiting in line for about 10 mins. Got inked, met friends and helped bad bob push a caddy limo . Goodtimes!!

it was good to see alot more of an older car enthusiast crowd this year too,and alot less "knuckleheads"..(maybe the high entry fee)if any of you never been on the boat after 8pm,especially saturday night!!!!..3 levels of buzzing tattoo machines, and packed solid with party people, long into the nite..hands down no show compares...

Good time buddy, Thanx! Catch you over there soon for sure!

  14. Keep your eyes peeled for my thread! I'll see if I can get it rollin today! 1200+ pic's....some of them are even cars! hahaha!
NO DRAMA this year! There's ALWAYS a long line to get in at this show. Must mean people want to be there, right?
Only had one issue with the guys from the GONNERS Car Club, but other than that,it went pretty un-eventful.
I have worked this show for 8yrs,since there were only abouy 6 cars there. This year there was over 120 on Friday, and more than 200+ on Saturday! And that's WITHOUT the dome! Saw lots of friends, fellow HAMBers, met new friends. I do my best to shake everybody's hand and personally, thank them for coming,as they leave.

KiwiKev-I'm sorry it wasn't to your liking, but it's probably not your kind of show.

I really wanted to give special thanks to Bad Bob, Trace and Aladdin of the Cavaliers. Bob, you are a truly great guy. All I have to do is remind you what car I have and you treat me like an old friend from way back. You made getting out of the show to start my long trip home real easy to! Trace for organizing the show of coarse but also for watching out for my friends that almost didn't get in due to the fact that there were at least 3 over lapping organizations there that all were exerting there authority in different ways. Last but not least, my new friend Aladdin, he saw my frustrated look and got me a sweet spot to park my ride despite "John Wayne" and the fire marshal.
I had a great time, got a sick tattoo, be back next year!

This was my 7th year there. I have a blast every time and will continue going! Trace seems like a good guy to me. He has a LOT of responsibility putting on a large show such as this. On our way out he personally stopped and asked us what we thought of the show. How cool is that!? I thought he was coming over to bust us for walking out the wrong exit! Great show, and gets better every year!

Edell, you guys sounded great! It was an awesome weekend, and definitely worth buying the weekend pass to sort of skip over the line. Not a cheap weekend though by any sense of the word
