Hi fellow members. I have a ? about the chevy/gmc manifold gasket and it's installation. The engine is a 6cyl inline. When I removed the old one the flat side was touching the intake, with the perferated side touching the head. This is a steel gasket. My friend said this is not the way it should be. I now turn to the forum members for there opinions. I say thanks now, as I am not good with the computer, but am slowly getting better. Thanks:confused:

If it's composition and metal, I put the composition side on the head, so the exhaust manifold can move around a little if it needs to.

    I don't think it's a big deal either way.
