Anyone know of a good one for sale near Detroit or Windsor Canada? How about speed equipment for these? I'd like to do one with an S10 5 speed for my 33 Chevy coupe.
Have you checked out http://www.stoveboltengineco.com and http://www.patricksantiquecars.com for equip. and online swap meets at http://www.stovebolt.com and http://www.inliners.org
Hey, Check out www.danielstrohl.com There is some pretty good info on there. If you do go out and get yourself an inline six I recommend you go buy a book called: Chevrolet Inline Six-Cylinder Power Manual By: Leo Santucci Use this Item/ISBN number 1-931128-15-4 to find it on Amazon.com. I was posting questions like an idiot on this site and on several others 'cuz I coudn't identify my size of motor until someone recommended it. and man did this book help me out. It has all kinds of info from history, casting numbers, transmission adaptions, to supercharging and nitrous for an I-6. As well as an unbelivable resource guide in the back with a whole bunch of web sites for speed parts ect. Keep us posted with what you do on you project. TD
"hey! that thing got a jimmy?" sorry, couldn't resist. remember to tip your waitress, and i'll be here all week.
Clifford still makes "chingos" of parts for these motors. I ran a 231 in my 64' Nova with a clifford dual carb intake, RV cam, headers, valve cover, etc.. Motor sounded really cool, and was able to get into the low 14's with a three on the tree. I don't have a web page for them, but if you go to roadsters.com, they might have a link. Good luck! Rik
I would also buy california Bill´s, Chevrolet, GMC and Buick speed manual, a ropop of a book from -54... There´s probably better ways of hopping up now but its real interresting and u can pick up a few things....
