Projects Inline six

  1. I ran a .040 over -250 in my 66 GMC with a offenhauser 4 bbl intake and hedders. A 250 will run circles around a 235 and use less fuel doing it.

Here are a couple of pics under my hood. You asked to see some inlines, so here you go. motorone.jpg linkage1_zps21ec5a2a.jpg

  4. In 59, my buddy had a mild 235, dual carbs, dual exhausts, and three on the tree, and would regularly beat up the V8s of that era. I like the idea of the 250, because the extra cubes are free, and it isn't a difficult installation.

And a decent flowing oil filtration system

    This ^^^^^
The same length as a TH350 but the rear crossmember is further back.
But put a 292 in front of it.

Then drive the wheels off it.

I learned how to drive a manual transmission in a 71 C10 with a 250 I6, three speed, 3.08 rear end. It was a lwb, we would fill the bed up and round it off with green oak firewood, that little 250 wouldn't even grunt pulling it. Wouldn't mind having a 71 or 72 C10 with a 250 in it, but would want a swb this time.
