ok i have a 50 chevy that i am about to put a 56' 235 inliner with a isky 3/4 grind cam offy dual carb with Holley 94's EAB on.stock ignition for now. the motor is rebuild .40 over with the "848"head. Fenton headers etc... I have seen this set up out there anyone famlier with the linkage set up? to much carb? i am also going to put a saginaw 4 spd tranny with the chevy truck bell housing. anyone know what clutch would be best? 55' chevy rear with 3.55's so i can highway cruise it. wasnt sure if any HAMBers mess with a set up like this. so any info would be great.

    sounds good to me.

Any clutch you want. 1 1/8-10 spline to match the trans? and whatever diameter to go with your pressure plate. The 56 flywheel would work with a 12 volt starter, your old flywheel would work with a 6 volt one. (That's what I've read anyway).

    I run a similar engine, 58 235 w/ B rochesters in my 54. I used a 3.50 1st Sag w/2.93 rear. real good highway flyer.
