1952-59 Ford Inner fenders - 54 ford

In my pile of parts, i have what i thought to be 54 ford inner fenders. They just don't fit and i have looked at another 54 and confirmed they are the wrong pieces.
i ***ume that they are from a 52-53 ford that had a different front end suspension. The only difference that i can see is the cut-out around the control arms.
Anybody know?

I have inner 54 pieces but they are still attached to the car and the car is under a few feet of snow! I was just trying to mock up the front end with the 53 inners without tearing into that snow bank. The 53 inners don't fit around the upper control arms but otherwise I think that they are close.
