I own a 1954 Customline and was wondering why there isn’t a panel on the backside of the front fender well. There is just a short panel with a couple of holes that look like there is supposed to be a panel that would attach to it and hide / protect the frame, etc. Does my car have these missing? Did Ford ever make them in 1954? Is there something I could attach from say 1955 or 1956? Any info would help. Thanks.

There are full inner fender panels - is this what you are referring to ? Pics would help.

The only thing my '54 Customline has is this short panel that attaches to the inner fender panel. Is this what you're talking about?
