Ok I need some opinions. I made some skirts for my truck and am trying to figure out if it looks better with or without the skirts. I'm kinda on the fence what do ya think? Thanks for the input.
I think they look really cool, but being its a panel truck or whatever you call em, it makes the rear look way to big and bulky. You did a nice job on them though. Nick
I usually dig skirts on trucks, but in this case I would go without. The panel aleady has enough metal back there. IMHO.
I vote for with. I think they make the truck look even lower and the lines flow better. a plus is no one else has them. One last option is go with or with out as per your mood.
this is tough, I like 'em both. Iam having the same prob. with my car. on , off , ... with , without ?
I'll have to agree here, a bit bulky with the skirts. You did such a good job on the skirts though, you'll just have to chop the truck to take out the bulkiness. Minor detail, ha ha.
I say without unless you are going for a lowrider effect.. With them, it reminds me of the CHeech and Chong van..
I say no skirts.it takes away from the flow of the body lines on the rear fender and upper panel.Panel looks sick though!
Without, for sure. Nice job on the skirts, but it just looks a whole helluva lot cleaner without them. As a few guys have already said, thats just too much metal out back. I dig the panel.
I like it both ways. Maybe you can alternate running them off and on. Damn that is a sweet looking panel. Got any more pics of it? later shawn
I'd ask the Doll you live with. Women always seem to know! I think if you run them, then you need a visor and get it out of the satin. Maybe if you welded them on and smoothed out the line and put a 4link system under it so you could get tires on and off? That would make it look more like a cruiser skirt. Big booty Judys always look better with skirts! Or so I think, the bigger the car, the smaller the tire looks. My .02 on it, now I'm waffling on and on. x Brandy
Well I think I'm gonna agree with the masses on this one and go with no skirts. I was already leaning towards not running them but they turned out too nice I was trying to find a way to use them. I guess there's a reason they never made them. Brandy my little doll voted no on them too, but she dosen't like skirts on anything. Thanks for the advice guys and gals. Mac
I guess I would have to agree with "there is enough metal back there already" and vote "without". But maybe if you lowered it a little, it might look better.
Yep, I'm not a fan of skirts. So I told him I was the wrong person to ask. I DID admire the fact that they turned out nice. I just thought they looked like 'butt' as an accessory. After all, they hid the beautiful hubcaps I found at a swapmeet.
I think it looks better without the skirts but you did a damn nice job of building them. Now to stir the pot a bit lets say you took and cut off the panel part of the truck that would make a great looking unibody, and you can run those skirts.
I'm a fender skirt kinda guy .......but I like your truck wihtout. It's hard to judge in 2 dimensions though.
