All of us to one extend or the other are dreamers, some live to make those dreams come true others dream on.

We dream when we take on a new project, sometimes overestimating our skills or financial means in the process.

Like many of you I dream of and get inspired by posts of cars on here or ones I see driving around or at shows, recently that happened when I saw this post http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=495292 and while there is some discussion on that car's authenticity you can't deny that it's a very inspiring ride. Last night I was thinking about this car and while planning the next step on my own projects when I came to the realization that I've got all the parts needed to make a car like this, from the engine, trans and rear axle to a seat, shifter brackets, frame rails, wheels, radiator.. everything.

Early this morning I did a quick scavenge around the garage, storage and the yard and put some pieces together. So far the only thing I've had to fabricate is the short driveshaft, I know I could have done it shorter, but I need the 6 to 10 spline converter I have for another project.

I don't know how far I'll go with this project. for now I'm thinking roller and then park it for a while. So far it's been a great way to spend a few hours and get some great inspiration for my current and future projects.

I liked what I was getting together so I did some more work today.

Yesterday we cut up a 1947 Buick frame to use the frame rails but they are TOO SHORT!!! So those are now useless. Going to get some 2x3x.188 tubing next week to put a simple frame together. Used some .75 square and a short piece of 3x3 to mock up and line up the front and rear.

Looks like the wheelbase will be around 11ft.

    So far I've got:
    1941 Flatty
1933? rear axle + mechanical brakes
    1928? Model A wheels
1952 Ford F1 front axle, spindles, steering and juice brakes
    1940s side shift trans
    Shortened driveshaft
Brake lever from an early 30's
Radiator from a 1947 Buick (not in mock-up)
    Steering box from Model A?
1947 Buick rear lever shocks for the front

Planning to use some pedals from the 1947 buick frame. Still not planning to get this to running state, probably just mocking it up for fun and then use it as yard art or in storage for a while, but I want to build everything so it could work and drive.
