I'm Diggin' it. Are you gonna make the HAMB Drags with it next year?

  4. I dont know. I have learned to remove time from my plans. It helps things go smoother and is much easier on my wallet.
Actaully I designed and built it before I knew about the HAMB movement. I was thinking of starting the Senoir Dragster movment.
Since it has an Auto trans and is made from DOM .125 round tube and since i narrowed the diff (using my reciprocating saw and a carpenters square.) I dont think I would be allowed to run it under HAMB rules. Also i will be sitting in the slingshot position so I guess that tears it for the HAMB thing. Still I and it are about low buck home built fun so whatever the case i am building it so i can go to any track and run within their rules. It is designed to be able to be carrried in the bed of a 1/2 ton pick up. Wheelbase is only 96"
I dont want to even have to buy a trailer. Just tool around with 1/2 ton and unload it where I find a interesting track.
I have devoted my life to making good performing compe***ive race engines with commonly available parts. (Low buck -hi tech using science and planning to whip the cubic $ crowd. Been very successful at it too) Now that i am retired I am finding this project very enjoyable. I suspect i will be sorry when it is done.

Portable air tanks can be purchased new for about 25 bucks.
Here is a f gallon for 22 bucks at Ace Hardware. If you don;t have time to scout the garage sales route.

  9. Summit? Nope. (that took awhile) :D

Don, I gotta say, looking at the few posts you've made and catching a bit of your background, you're a welcome addition to the HAMB. Keep sharing the knowledge.

  10. I just took a guess. My pal with the 426/ 400 is a long haul trucker and he deals with a guy at Atlanta Summit who was from Peterborough. It was a long shot but I knew you would understand the "Canadian" writing(.&-) :>) eh? Had to ask.

From St. Catharines originally, been here about 8 months. You can't swing a baby seal without clubbing a Canadian down here, there's a lot of us.
