I recently bought an "old" NOS 6 volt tach in the box. I want to install it just to monitor the old 216 while driving. Box says pos+ or neg- . It has one terminal on the back marked + and the other marked - , It had no instructions though. Can anyone advise how to wire the connections? Thanks!

Well, that 216 is rarely if ever going to see north of 3k rpm's so that makes that old tach eye candy. Your usable band is going to be very small, why not spring for a 4k tach?

  3. Hook one wire to the distributor side of the coil, the other side to ground. If you have a negative ground system, use the negative terminal to ground....

Your right, but since I got it for less than $20.00 how could I go wrong.
