I picked up a vintique head light kit but I am having a problem installing the socket in the reflector. does it in from the back side or front to back. The latter appears to have a clearance issue with the bulbs Thanks Tom

Are you referring to the reflector ?
if so the quartz halogen bub installs from the back of reflector pointing forward,
There is a spring clip on each side of bub that push against the bub ,
If using original buckets ,the reflector needs to be modified some a notch added

    Or Original style Bub socket?

I'm not clear what the question is but I have 2 sets of Vintique 32 headlamps. The ones I've had for 20+ years take an h4 bulb that mounts from the rear and has the wire clip with 2 arms to retain them. The second set that I've had for about 5 years is different and I think takes a bulb that mounts in a different way and isn't an h4.
