    Hello,

I am in the need of ***istance from all you pros out there. This is my first Rat Rod and I have a set of bomber seats I want to install in my car. I wanted to see what others are doing out there. I wanted something that looks correct for the 1940s and 1950s. How did they do it back then? If you have any photos of your work that you could send me, that would be a big help!

    Thanks for your time everyone!

There wern't any rat rods in the 40's, and you spelled school wrong in your name.
But I would use 4, 5/16" bolts on the seats.

    And welcome to the HAMB

Thanks for the info. I know I spelled the name wrong. "Old School " was already taken. I want a "old skool" look, but not necessarily from the 1940s. I am using different looks from different time periods. I will post photos when I am done.

Are you sure you are on the right forum? I think all the rat rods left following some guy and his flute.

Be sure to use some large washers like a fender washer too.You want to spread the load out so the bolts can't pull through in a high stress situation.
