installing my four link this weekend any hints

    hey everyone looking like im going to be tackling the install of my 4 link on my 1940 ford this weekend. does anyone have any hints or tips for this. ive never done anything this big im kinda worried about getting something wrong and having all my hard work track sideways down the interstate yall know..:confused: shoot me a email with any tips and help thanks.

    Take your time, make sure the ride height is where you want it (when it settles), the 4-links should be parallel to the ground when you're done and the weight is on the car (depending on what 4-link setup you use), make sure your pinion angle is correct before you weld those brackets to your axle as well. You'll have some adjustability when you're done, but get it close from the get-go, also measure, measure, measure, tack everything in place first then double-tripple check to make sure everything is square and parallel.

    This is when I should really stop and ask if you're using a parallel 4-link setup or if you're using the kind where your links will be setup at different heights between the front and rear mounting points allowing control of pinion angles through the swing (typical on most race ch***is). I ***ume you're not talking about a triangulated 4-link, but maybe you are??

    So how 'bout it? What kit are you using and what are you using to weld these to your frame with?
