What's the best method to fit the release bearing adapter over the T-5 input shaft so it will work with the early Ford throw out bearing? Put the adapter in the freezer overnight and then use a persuasion tool to get it to slide over the shaft and to seat against the ******?

Who's adaptor is it? No instructions with it?

If you chill it, it will contract making it harder to press on if it is pressing on to the quill.

Speedway kit. No instructions related to installing that adapter. I'm guessing that no matter the source of the kit, the procedure for installing this sleeve would be the same. When I installed the bearing adapter on my front spindles, I put it in the freezer and it slipped right on with just a bit of persuasion. Before chilling it, there was no way it would slide on. I just figured the same method would work for this too.

There's been a lot posted on here about the various kits, but I couldn't find anything about this part of the process.

Cooling shrinks it, heating expands it. From Speedways website - Measurements are as follows: Overall Length: 3.500" Inside Diameter: 1.371" Outside Diameter: 1.742". Measure the input shaft to get the outside diameter of it, and then check your adapters inside diameter. If they are within a couple thousands of each other heat it up and then press it on.
