First car show I entered the hot rod in was in 1981, first trophy won for this car. Jim,, Chris, Kitty and I.jpg

Yours truly, my sister, Choke [yep, my fabricator way back then] and my friend Jim.
Choke built the roll cage in it, then in later years he built the roll cage in my Willys.

Fellow "HAMBer" Mohr hp found an article of the hot rod in a 1990 Hot Rod Magazine
and posted it on my Willys thread.
I went through my collection and found the magazine, Hot Rod Magazine 1990 article.jpg Hot Rod Magazine 1990.jpg 35 years old.
    Diggin' the HAMB, thanks fellas,

My friend Dave H. mailed me a rear view mirror for the DH mirror 009.JPG DH mirror 003.JPG DH mirror 001.JPG 30, my old one was way too small.
So I made a metal plate, attached it to the roll cage and now
    I CAN SEE!

Hey Mike, as I mentioned before...we don't have any kids so we can spend the $ on old clunkers if we like.
I put 40 years in at work, the wife did the same.
Very fortunate and blessed, I know.
Look at you, you get to race that cool, cool 30, now that's fun!
    Talk about exciting!

I previously mentioned that Fred Sanderson made the first headers for the pickup...
    tuned headers with collectors.
My friend Tom S. was a Vietnam vet, I had rented a room out to him in my So.S.F. house.
He worked at 50-50 Muffler in Burlingame, so he and Fred Sanderson were friends.
So, Fred made my first headers for me cheap, $ out the back door.
A few years later I had to have chrome headers because it makes the car go so much faster, right?
So I bought "already made up" chrome headers from Fred again.

I previously posted a shot of my old friend Mike Coccelato's 58 Corvette.
I believe someone here said they knew the new owner's name.
I just found out that Mike recently passed away.
Would one of you happen to know where the car is now, owner's name or any info on the car?
Mike ran a world record holding boat and also a dragster. Coco's Vette 3.jpg Coco's Vette 1.jpg Coco's Vette 2.jpg
    Thanks fellas,

2011 had blower seal problems, sent the blower out for a fix, they didn't fix it.
Sent it to a better shop, OK, now. Blower seal again.jpg

"Walnut Creek Historical Society Shadelands Ranch Classic Car Show"
and Elaine and I got married there in 2001.
It's about 4 blocks from our house,

From monster trucks to old Corvettes and everything in between.
My old hot rod won 2025 Best Truck Award, a $200 basket of food and wine along with an Italian cook book and a $50 gift certificate for Rocco's pizza [local joint] from a free raffle ticket.
Then some young lady stuck a microphone on my collar and interviewed me, asking questions about the car.
"Built it in 1969," WHAT? Going to be on some website.
There was a lot of beautiful trucks there, pretty amazing that my old pickup won again, still getting trophies
    after all these years.

Well, I guess that's about all I have to say about the hot rod so I'll end it here.
Thanks for putting up with all the deviations/nonsense.
