I've been politely warned of showing new style steels [and rightfully so] so this may be a challenge.
I'll dig through some of my photos that are either really old or no side shots.
Glad I didn't get kicked off the HAMB!
So here's a few current ones... Canesas burger run 5.jpg Canesas burger run 1.jpg Canesas burger run 2.jpg Canesas burger run 3.jpg Canesas burger run 4.jpg

Forgot to mention, on the previous page I posted a couple of photos of my [late] friend Mike's black 58 Corvette.
His cousin Larry [another SF native] painted my 30 pickup in the early 1970s.
Yeah, from blue to purple, sign of the times I guess [as I already mentioned].

On Skyline Blvd with the old VW heading south, Lake Merced on the left, ocean on the right.
Looks like they just left the infamous street drag racing spot The Great Highway, and turned around to help out a citizen as the Hell's Angels did back then, "kooool!"

My sister and her family came down from El Dorado Hills [Ca.] and paid us a visit today, my 9 year great nephew Brayden got his first ride in the hot rod.
    He loved it..see attached.

    Some current silliness!
This week Vacuum hose support.jpg I installed a new carb on the wife's 34.
The two vacuum hoses were previously in contact with the warm intake manifold so I welded up
2] 1/2" pieces of steel tubing, cut the ends off; welded a bracket so it mounts to the intake manifold bolt.
It somewhat matches the lines in the valve covers.
    Mama is happy

  21. It is, I'm in the background with the black and white Deadend hat talking to my friend Steve White in the Hawaiian shirt. That was when I lived in Pleasant Hill for a few years.

  23. This is the truck that inspired me to build mine when I saw it in Rod n Custom back in 2002 while being a cash register jockey at then Kragen Auto Parts. It is still owned by the builder Lance Barger. It was 100% built, painted and upholstered in his garage. I met him at Pleasanton during a Goodguys show shortly after seeing it in the magazine and seeing that he lived in P-Town around that time. We are still friends today, he had lots of advice for a 20 year old kid to get started on his own attempt at a hot rod pick up.

Years ago I spotted an old primered Ford pickup with writing on the doors that stated "Old and Gray,"
    sounds like me.

Wow! Going through some old Polaroid photos yesterday I came across this 56 year old shot of my 30 pickup.
This is the first picture I ever took of the car.
It had a Chevy rear end at the time, hanging emergency brake cables; check out the 1956 license plate.
This is at my uncle's house on Dolores St S.F. in 1969... Mick20250702_0033.jpg
