Customs instrument restoration

    It has been 10 years since I had some gauges restored. Does anyone have a recomendation on who they think does the best job?

  2. United Speedometer can update them to 12v and I have seen restorers in Hemmings, I think under gauges, if thats any help.

    I used Williamsons (out of Hemmings) a few times before, and had mixed results. I won't repeat.

    Try William Wolf from Willoughby,Ohio. Has advertized in Hemmings for years. Does good work.

    Bob's Speedometer in Michigan did my cluster and I couldn't be happier. They had to make a fuel gauge for me in addition to restoring the original cluster, and it all looks fabulous. I wouldn't hesitate to send future projects to them.

    There is one in Portland Oregon, if any one is interested. He does great on stewart warner guages, as I have seen his work.

    Yeh Bruce is very good - did some SW 2 5/8 gauges for me. Knows the early SW stuff really well.

    I've used Mo-Ma since they were in L.A. Now they're in Albuquerque 505-766-6661. They specialize in restorations.
