Many, many threads about this very subject. Search is indeed your friend. YOu are just going to have to research the various specialty companies and decide what is right for you.

I have Hagerty and am perfectly happy with their service.

I'll give you a hint - NOT ONE of the specialty companies will insure your trucks as daily drivers, if that is what you are looking at trying to get.

My State Farm policy expires in a few days. Went with Grundy instead, more coverage for less money. Grundy is restriction free as well. Have never heard anyone say anything bad about Grundy.

On a nice day, you can always be on your way to a car show or parade. I go through a specialty broker and after a while they seem to loosen up a bit. Like I said, you can just about always be on your way to a show of some kind.

Wherever I go, it is a car show.

I was going to a "Private" show...I was heading to my buddy's shop to show it to a prospective buyer..." and get your buddy to back you up. Or "I was heading to a friend's little cul-de-sac 'show n' shine' in his back yard...!!! There's more than one way to skin a cat...!!!

I'm an agent for Grundy and Hagerty. You don't have to be only driving to a "show" to be covered but driven daily is out of the question. It isn't allowed. As always honesty is the best policy. Know what's alllowed and you'll be ok.

  16. State Farm on mine, I have my newer beaters with them too so it makes it easy.

It's just a stated value policy and there's no restrictions I'm aware of on it, but the car's still in pieces right now, so.... initially I just insured it to get plates and get a registration for it so I could keep it here in the driveway.

Some of the specialty companies won't talk to you if your vehicle isn't already done and perfect - if it needs paint, if you're not keeping it in a garage, etc. -

Lol same with me. I have state farm, insured for 5k, under as only shows. Paying just $240 a year on it, so not to bad.

I go to a show mon-fri at 6 and come at 2. I consider school a show. lol

    Your insurance will not.

Don't cry to us when something happens to your car at your alleged "show" and the insurance company tells you "tough ****, pal!" when something happens - and since you ARE using yours as a DD, something will happen. You roll the dice, you take your chances...

    P. J. O'Roarke once said "There is but one human right, and that is to do whatever you damn well please! And with that, there is but one human responsibility, and that is to accept the consequences of your actions!"...Pretty much fits here, doesn't it?
